What you need to know before connecting your network to HOSTOWEB IP Transit.
Do I need an ASN to use IP Transit? +
BGP service is primarily intended for operators and organizations with their own ASN and prefixes to announce. We can discuss an alternative architecture if you do not yet have an ASN.
Can I receive a full BGP table? +
Yes. Based on your requirements and configuration, HOSTOWEB can provide a full Internet routing table or a default route.
What port capacities are available? +
Available ports include 100 Mb/s, 1 Gb/s and 10 Gb/s, subject to availability and connection options at each site.
Does the service support IPv6? +
The AS37738 network supports IPv4 and IPv6. Session details and accepted prefixes are defined during the technical assessment.
Can I use my own IP prefixes? +
Yes, subject to technical and administrative approval. Announcements and BGP sessions are configured according to the agreed architecture and applicable authorizations.
Can IP Transit be delivered outside a HOSTOWEB data center? +
Ethernet extensions through partners may be considered, notably in Morocco, Spain and the United Kingdom. Off-network delivery is subject to a feasibility assessment.
What service commitments do you offer? +
Contractual availability, capacity, support and intervention terms are specified in the service proposal and relevant agreement.
